Refund Policy

Effective date: March 14, 2026

We want you to be happy with Happy Hear Audio. This policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one.

Monthly Subscription — $49/month

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time directly from your account settings — no phone call, no email required. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again. California residents: cancellation is available online 24/7 as required by the California Automatic Renewal Law.

Refund window: If you cancel within 48 hours of a charge and have not performed any audio processing during that billing period, you are eligible for a full refund of that charge.

After 48 hours: Monthly subscription charges are non-refundable after 48 hours.

Per-Event Purchase — $29/event

Before processing: If you have purchased an event credit but have not yet uploaded audio or initiated any processing, contact us within 7 days for a full refund.

After processing begins: Per-event purchases are non-refundable once audio processing (noise reduction, transcription, or emotion tagging) has started, as computing costs are incurred immediately.

Add-Ons (Transcription, Waveform)

Add-on purchases are non-refundable once the service has been delivered (i.e., transcription has been generated).

Exceptions

We may issue refunds outside of this policy at our discretion in cases of:

  • Significant service outages that prevented you from using the platform
  • Duplicate charges due to a billing error on our part
  • Other exceptional circumstances reviewed case by case

How to Request a Refund

Email hello@happyhearaudio.com with:

  • Your account email address
  • The charge date and amount
  • The reason for your refund request

We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
